Magnetism – A Cosmic Web

Magnetic fields are present in our Universe, wherever we look at, on the Earth, the Sun, the Milky Way, clusters of galaxies, . . . and even in the interstellar void, connecting clusters of galaxies via gigantic filaments. The origin of these force fields is still unknown. One possibility could be that it was created at the (re)birth of our Universe. Therefore, it would be considered as primordial. Such an hypothesis could explain the current accelerated expansion of the visible Universe. Magnetism, together with gravity are the forces shaping out the large-structure of the cosmos.

Role of magnetic fields in star formation

Space Sciences

Date: October, 2016

Because the theoretical predictions for star formation in science do not match what is actually observed, scientist have lately begun to consider the possibility that electromagnetism plays a roll in the process.

The Scientific Journal Nature (538,8),  published an article : ” Astronomy: Magnetism drives star birth”. In this article, Nature refers to an article from Astronomy & Astrophysics (593,L14, 2016), where a team of scientists made observations of a large gas cloud with the Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array (ALMA) telescope in northern Chile. They observed that the gas of a stellar system collapsed and fragmented, . . . forming a string of clumps. The clumps will eventually form the cores of future stars. From these observations, they ran numerical simulations to match the observations, and they discovered that these formations can be modeled, using strong magnetic fields.  The study findings confirm theoretical predictions that magnetic fields play a major part in  protostars formation.

Blavatsky proposes that electromagnetism (the primary manifestation of Fohat on the physical plane) is the main force responsible for cosmic processes. In the Secret Doctrine, she quotes an “ancient Commentary to Stanza IV,” which describes the formation of a cosmic systems in a way that matches what science observes today:

The grains (of spawn) are soon attracted to each other and form the curds in the Ocean (of Space). The larger lumps coalesce and receive new spawn . . . and at the appointed time some of the lumps detach themselves and assume spheroidal form . . . after which . . . motion (the Breath) becomes the whirlwind and sets them into rotation.” (SD vol. 1, p. 97)

Electric Gravity in an Electrical Universe

Ralph Sansbury of MIT’s magnet laboratory proposes an electromagnetic theory of gravity. According to this view, gravity is the result of the aligning of electric dipoles in subatomic particles — protons, neutrons and electrons.

In her writings, H. P. Blavatsky made the startling statement that gravity is not a force of nature.[SD1, p. 490 et seq.] This was supported by her teachers. For example, in 1882 Mahatma K.H. wrote that “there is no gravitation properly speaking; only attraction and repulsion”.[ML93B] According to Blavatsky, the agent behind the phenomenon of attraction and repulsion is Fohat, whose chief manifestation on the physical plane is electricity and magnetism.

The “Electric Universe” Project (now “Thunderbolt” Project) has been advertising for years that all previous scientists like Newton, Einstein, Bohr, Hawking, Penrose, … were ignorant of the reality of Physics, and that everything in the Universe can be explained by electric fields. This approach is very attractive for theosophists, because it has similitude with the Ancient Wisdom teachings, but it fails, up to now, to provide with any mathematical model – except the Birkland Field Theory – which would explain any of the observed physical phenomenon like cosmogenesis, baryogenesis, standard model, etc.
